(WTNH) – Actor Alan Thicke, best known for his role on the hit ABC sitcom “Growing Pains,” has died at age 69, according to ABC News.

TMZ reports that Thicke suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son Tuesday. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
While the Canadian-born actor will be most remembered for his role as Dr. Jason Seaver in the series Growing Pains, he also appeared in The Bold and the Beautiful, How I Met Your Mother and recently, Fuller House.
Thicke is survived by his three sons, Brennan, Robin and Carter, and his wife Tanya.Stay with News 8 for updates.
