Adopt A Dog Month: Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter has dogs to adopt

News

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – October is adopt a dog month. Each year, nearly 670,000 dogs are euthanized in the nation’s shelters.

American Humane Ambassador Jean Shafiroff to tell us how you can adopt a dog. We have four dogs from the Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter. Three handlers are Karen Marchione, Leo Taylor, and Tina Marino.

Jaime is about 10 months old. She was found as an injured puppy. Paws and Effect will give her adoptive family six weeks free training for Jaime to transition to her new home. She likes other dogs but would be too much energy for young children.

Red is nine-year-old pit bull terrier who needs a home to spend his golden years.

4-year-old Bonnie is a pit bull terrier who was found as a stray. Bonnie is very affectionate.

Lambchop better known as Lamby. She is a bichon-poodle mix approximately 10 to 12 years old. Lamby arrived at the shelter about six months ago severely neglected and malnourished. Lamby is comfortable with cats.
