Another group of leading doctors is out with their recommendations for breast cancer screenings, and it’s a little different than the ones you may have heard.
The American College of Physicians now recommends a mammogram every other year for women ages 50 to 74.

The advice does not apply to women with a family history or abnormal test results.
The recommendations clash with the American Cancer Society which says women should get screened every year once they turn 45.
The ACP said its new guidelines take into account the risks of frequent screening.
