American Red Cross opens shelters in Brookfield, Southbury following storm

News

The American Red Cross has opened two shelters to help residents impacted by Tuesday’s storm.

Officials say the shelters are available to individuals and families who need assistance.

Shelters are open at the following locations:

Southbury
Southbury Senior Center
561 Main Street South, Southbury

Brookfield
Brookfield High School
45 Lawn Meadow Hill Road, Brookfield

Those evacuating to a shelter are urged to bring essential items for each family member, including medication, extra clothing, and chargers for any electronic devices.
