AncestryDNA kit helps reunite woman with biological parents

Thanks to an AncestryDNA kit, a Merrimack, N.H. family is finally getting to meet a member of the family who was placed for adoption as an infant.

Angie Hershner now lives in Ohio, but her biological mother, Mary Webber, was able to track her down earlier this year.

At the family’s annual reunion in Merrimack on Saturday, Hershner was able to meet more blood relatives.

“It’s exciting, it’s a big family. My adopted family was small, so it’s a lot different for me,” Hershner said.

She also met her biological father for the first time on Sunday.
