(WTNH) — The Connecticut Audubon Society is asking the public to help birds throughout the state during this cold winter.

The Audubon Society suggests that people keep their bird feeders filled and scatter seeds on the ground.
Another tip is recycling your old Christmas tree by laying it on its side near your feeders. The birds will use it as cover.
