BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — A Bridgeport man was sentenced to 10 year behind bars for trafficking narcotics.

Authorities say Amonda Mendez, also known as “M-Dot” and “Dot”, was sentenced Thursday by a U.S. District Judge.

The arrest stems from an investigation conducted by DEA’s Bridgeport High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force and Stamford Police Department.

Fairfield police assisted.

Between February and April 2015, the DEA Task Force conducted four controlled purchases of narcotics from Mendez.

A subsequent court-authorized wiretap confirmed that Mendez was distributing heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills, including Percocet and Xanax.
