Research group: Stop & Shop lost tens of millions of dollars over course of strike

We are getting an idea on Monday just how much the 11-day strike cost Stop & Shop in terms of the bottom line.

The Strategic Research Group, which analyzes the grocery store industry, estimates that the company lost about $2 million per day.

That would put losses in the neighborhood of $22 million.

On Sunday, labor and management reached a tentative agreement on a new three-year contract.

Union members still need to ratify the deal.
