Slot revenues at both Connecticut casinos were down slightly for the month of December.

Mohegan Sun pulled in more than $49.7 million. That’s just shy of the $50 million from Dec., 2017.

According to the Hartford Business Journal (https://bit.ly/2QPDYyn), Foxwoods netted close to $37 million for the month, putting them off by 5.2 percent from the prior year.

Competition from the new MGM Springfield could be a factor. Slot numbers at the MGM casino were at $21.6 million. That’s about $400,000 more than in November.

The casino president credits the improved numbers to the holidays.
