The Norwalk Fire Department responded to a single car accident on Interstate 95 early Wednesday morning that left the driver with serious injuries.
According to Norwalk firefighters, a motor vehicle accident occurred at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 95 between Exits 14 and 13. The accident involved a Toyota Corolla striking a tractor trailer that stopped in a breakdown lane.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla was 30-year-old man. Firefighters say he was lying on the highway, and was then assisted by officials and transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
The highway was closed Southbound for close to an hour as debris, the tractor trailer and car were removed.
