Car drives off road into retention basin in South Windsor: Police

Police are responding to a report of a car that went off a road in South Windsor

According to the South Windsor Police Department, a motor vehicle went off the road and into a retention basin in the area of Route 5 and south of Sullivan Avenue in South Windsor. 

Police responded to the call early Thursday morning. 

Officials say they are working on clearing the scene. No word on if the driver has been injured or if there were any other people in the car.
