Bloomfield-based Cigna is trying to make it more affordable for families to buy insulin.
The health insurer is lowering the cost of the lifesaving drug under a new patient assistance plan.
It would cap out-of-pocket payments at $25 for a 30-day supply.
On average, Cigna said patients paid nearly $42 a month for insulin in 2018.
