Colchester police search for woman wanted in identity theft

Police are looking to identify the woman wanted for allegedly making fraudulent purchases with someone else’s information in Colchester

On Monday, Colchester police released photos of the suspect wanted for identity theft.

Police say the customer, which appeared to be a woman wearing a hat, went to three stores in the Milford/ Orange area and made fraudulent purchases using a Colchester resident’s information. 

The suspect allegedly made purchases to the amount of $13,400. 

Police say that they were able to obtain the photos by working with Corporate Security at the three stores involved. 

Anyone who can identify the woman is urged to contact police at 860-537-7200.
