HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)- College students and professors from the Connecticut State University System (Central, Eastern, Southern) say they give the Republican budget plan a “Big Fat F” and will be calling on the Governor to veto the bill.

It comes as the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Association of Small Towns votes unanimously to urge the Governor to sign it.They say the Executive Order cuts to small towns will force Property Tax hikes of 20 to 30% if it goes into effect.

The Governor still has not received the bill document and plans to meet with legislative leaders at midday to see if details can be worked out on the Hospital Tax/Medicaid Reimbursement element of the budget for possible passage by the House and Senate by the end of the week.
