Committee honors fallen veterans in Waterbury with special tribute

Special banners saluting Waterbury fallen veterans are now up around the downtown area.

The banners are a special project by the Waterbury Veterans Memorial Committee to get the community familiar with the brave men and women from Waterbury who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

The committee wanted to do this as a special tribute in time for Memorial Day.

They also wanted the veterans’ families to know they are not forgotten. Each banner has the name and picture of the veteran and a description of their service.
