Congressman Courtney to observe gypsy moth caterpillar damage at Pachaug State Forest


It’s a pesky problem plaguing eastern ConnecticutGypsy moth caterpillars eating away at the trees. 

On Friday, Congressman Joe Courtney will get a firsthand look at the damage at the Pachaug State Forest in Griswold.

The insect infestation combined with a few years of drought have left so many trees unable to recover. 

Several towns have been forced to fork up thousands in funding to remove the gypsy moths.
