MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — Can you believe it’s almost time to start thinking about sending the kids back to school?

Connecticut State Police are holding a school supply drive to help kids in need.

They will be collecting backpacks of all sizes, supplies for students of all ages, as well as shoes. Police say they have recently learned that many kids not only need supplies, but shoes and sneakers for the school year.

Donations may be dropped off at State Police Headquarters at 111 Country Club Road in Middletown, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
