News

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Spartacus the dog is one of many pups, part of K9 First Responders, Inc.

The organization was founded after the Sandy Hook tragedy. Dog teams had a strong, positive impact on the victims, survivors, First Responders and the Newtown, CT community overall. The idea of creating K9FR grew from this successful response.

Since then, the organization responds to crisis and tragedies across the U.S. lending emotional support and compassion through the K9s. The group is now receiving national acclaim, through a new documentary: Connection in Crisis: The Story of Spartacus and the K9 First Responders.
