News

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– A little friendly competition on the court between some Connecticut cities.

Players from Bridgeport, Hartford and New Haven will go head to head in the “Hoop It Up” basketball tournament. The tournament helps keep young people engaged during the summer and build up their communities.

“One of the best features is that courts will be set up right here on Church Street, right across from the historic New Haven green, and right in front of New Haven City Hall,” said Mayor Toni Harp.

The tournament will happen the weekend of August 5th through 7th and will also  feature basketball but also have food and music for families to enjoy.
