(WTNH) — The countdown to Valentine’s Day is on! As the popular saying has addressed: food is always the way to someone’s heart.
Throughout the years, heart-shaped foods sold during the month of February, like pizza, chocolates or cookies, have surged in popularity as a way to profess love. One local Connecticut grocery store is also participating in the theme, allowing couples to take that Valentine’s Day dinner one step further.

Between February 7 and February 14 – which is Valentine’s Day – Stop & Shop grocery stores in the Hartford-area are selling heart-shaped steaks. For those who also want to express their love beyond the plate, a bouquet of steak tip roses are also offered at the store. Both gifts for a carnivorous Valentine are hand-tied with a red bow. The steaks will be priced between $7.99 and $13.49 a pound and available at all Hartford-area stores.
