Connecticut House votes to raise motorcycle helmet age to 21

Motorcycle riders in Connecticut who are under the age of 21 may soon need to wear a helmet.

On Tuesday, the Connecticut House voted to approve legislation requiring riders under 21 years old to wear a helmet.

The House voted 113-33 in favor of the proposal.

If signed into law, Connecticut would join nine other states requiring helmets for riders under 21.

The law would take effect on Oct. 1st.
