Actor Paul Rudd has endorsed Ethan’s Law, a bill named for a Guilford teenager that calls for strengthening safe gun storage laws.

The Avengers” star posted a video on Wednesday night that was shared on to the ‘Ethan Song Acts of Kindness’ Facebook page where he gives a shout out to Ethan’s Law and their 5K race that is happening on June 9th.

In the video, the actor who plays “Ant-Man” says in part:

“Hi this is Paul Rudd. And as a parent, I really worry when my kids go to somebody’s house and they have guns and they are not stored safely. Regardless of where you stand on the gun issue, I think we can all agree that guns should be stored safely and out of the reach of kids. When I learned about Ethan Song, I was really moved.”

Connecticut Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro recently introduced “Ethan’s Law” on a federal level after the Connecticut House passed its own version of the bill earlier this month.

‘Ethan’s Law’ would set federal standards and give states incentives to create and implement safe gun storage laws.

New information has been released following the death of 15-year-old Ethan Song.

The bill is in response to the death of 15-year-old Ethan Song, who shot himself with a handgun owned by a friend’s father in January 2018.
