Bill requiring handguns to be locked up or in vehicle trunk passes CT House


Gun owners in Connecticut may soon have to keep their weapons locked up inside their cars. 

The House of Representatives just approved a bill that would require pistol or revolvers only to be kept in a trunk, in a locked safe, or in a locked glove box. 

Supporters said they hope the bill with cut down on the number of guns stolen in car break-ins.

The bill now heads to the Senate.
