BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) — The Bristol Police Department arrested a juvenile Thursday morning following a circulating threat on social media aimed toward Bristol Central High School.

According to police, the threat was specified to occur on Thursday or Friday, directed at both staff and students.

The BPD started an investigation and were able to identify the suspect, who was placed under arrest and transported to the police station.

There will be an increased police presence at all Bristol schools until further notice.
