Monday marks the beginning of the seat belt use enforcement campaign throughout the holiday season set by the Connecticut State Police.
On Thursday, officials announced the start of the Click It or Ticket mobilization that looks to remind those in vehicles to always wear seatbelts.
The campaign begins on Nov. 19th and will run through Nov. 26th.
Officials said that during the 2016 Thanksgiving holiday weekend, 341 passenger vehicle occupants were killed in crashes across the nation and 49 percent of those killed did not use seatbelts.
Officers will also be cracking down on drunk driving, speeding, and cell phone use.
