Community Foundation for Greater New Haven to receive $5.3 million in grants

Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro and the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven are set to announce $5.3 million in grants to fund New Haven Healthy Start on Monday. 

New mothers and babies in New haven will soon get extra support. 

Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro and the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven are announcing $5.3 million dollars in federal grants. 

This money will fund New Haven Healthy Start for five years. It will help improve the health of women and babies and will also help reduce racial and ethnic disparities in rates of infant death in the first 18 months of life. 

The announcement will take place at 10 a.m. in New Haven
