Connecticut State Police escort 1950’s TWA plane along highway


If you noticed a vintage aircraft traveling along the highway here in Connecticut — you weren’t alone. 

TWA Constellation plane from the 1950’s was brought through Connecticut Friday night along I-84, I-91 and I-95. 

The Connecticut State Police Traffic Unit escorted the plane.

The aircraft is being brought down to JFK Airport to be part of the TWA Hotel, which is currently under construction. 

It will be converted into a restaurant and bar.

The plane began its trek from Maine earlier this month.
