Connecticut State Police investigate stabbing in Brooklyn, suspect apprehended

Police in Brooklyn, Connecticut are investigating a stabbing that has sent one person to the hospital on Tuesday night. 

Police say they received a call at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of 125 South Main Street in Brooklyn, Connecticut. Upon arrival, police made contact with a male victim with multiple stab wounds.

The victim was transported to treatment immediately. It is unclear of the extent of injuries. 

During investigation, police identified and located the suspect, Jeffrey Provost, 41 of Danielson. Provost was arrested under assault and other charges. Provost has a bond set at $500,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

Police are still investigating the incident.
