CT State Police investigating ‘untimely death’ of woman found at Wadsworth Falls State Park


MIDDLEFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police were investigating the “untimely death” of a woman at Wadsworth Falls State Park in Middlefield Monday afternoon.

CSP has confirmed that the body of a woman was found Monday morning down the hill off of the parking lot near Cherry Hill Road.

Investigators say they also found a man in the area whom they took to the hospital. Police think he knows the woman and was a witness to what happened. The man is working with investigators.

“At this point, there’s no criminal aspect to the investigation.”

Central District Major Crime is investigating. The condition of the man and the identification of the man and woman have not yet been released.
