Conservative study: Bumping up CT minimum wage will cost jobs


Could a minimum wage hike cost the state jobs?

A new study by a conservative research group found Connecticut could lose more than 15,000 jobs if the minimum wage is bumped up to $15 an hour. 

The Employment Policies Institute looked at recent congressional budget data and found that Connecticut would be hit the hardest in New England by the wage hike.

Governor Ned Lamont has said he will sign off on a bill to boost minimum pay over the next four years.
