CT high school student competes in ‘Poetry Out Loud’ national finals


(WTNH) — A Connecticut high school student has been competing in a national poetry competition.

Shermya Dover-John, a senior at Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, won a state-level poetry competition and represented Connecticut at the Poetry Out Loud national semi-finals Sunday.

She did not advance Sunday, but News 8 wants to congratulate her on making it this far!
