Connecticut lawmakers will get together on Wednesday to mark June as Gun Violence Prevention Month.
U.S. Senators Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal, along with state representatives, are calling for a debate and vote on universal background check legislation.
The bill would expand federal background checks to the sale of all firearms by private sellers.
