Eversource plans to trim trees near power lines across the state

In an effort to prevent power outages during storms, Eversource is planning a major tree trimming project statewide.

Eversource is investing 83 million dollars to remove hazardous trees and branches along 4,000 miles of electrical lines in Connecticut.

Work will be done in 130 towns.

Eversource will notify customers in advance if tree trimming work is necessary on their property.
