2 charged with felony murder following Bridgeport homicide

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) - Two people are facing charges, including felony murder, following a homicide investigation in Bridgeport.

According to officials, on Wednesday afternoon, police arrested 19-year-old Darrick Tunstall and 20-year-old Vaughn Thomas, Jr. for the death of 19-year-old Dyshon Williams.

Police said Williams went to Luis Munoz Marin Elementary School on Feb. 11th to sell marijuana to Tunstall.

Authorities stated that when Williams arrived, Tunstall and Thomas tried to rob Williams, fatally shooting him during the incident.

Tunstall and Thomas have both been charged with felony murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery. Thomas was also charged with carrying a pistol without a permit and illegal discharge of a firearm.

Both are being held on $1 million bonds.
