Bridgeport PD investigating shooting in Ellsworth, Fairfield Avenue area

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — Bridgeport police are responding to a report of shooting early Tuesday morning.

Police said just after 12:30 a.m., a 28-year-old man called police and said he had been shot in the intersection of Ellsworth Street and Fairfield Avenue.

At the location, officers discovered the victim in the driver’s seat of a car with a gunshot wound to the head.

The unidentified victim was taken to Bridgeport Hospital and then transferred to Yale New Haven Hospital where his condition is listed as critical, but stable.
