Bridgeport police seek person wanted for questioning in possible abduction, sexual assault case


Police in Bridgeport said a person is wanted for questioning in a possible abduction/sexual assault case.

According to officials, on May 30th around 8:00 a.m., units learned of a possible abduction.

Authorities stated that the 9-year-old victim said a tall, black man approached her while she waited for her school bus at the corner of Logan Street and Stratford Avenue.

The man then allegedly grabbed her and carried her to the back of the Pentecostal Church of Prayer and Deliverance where police said he attempted to lift her dress and touch her.

Officers stated that the victim was able to get away by stepping on his foot and yelling.

The suspect fled the area covering his head with a black, hooded sweatshirt.
