Calling hours held for State Trooper who died after lengthy battle with cancer

Friends and family are gathering to remember a Connecticut State Trooper who passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Trooper Walter Greene was diagnosed with cancer after responding to the 9/11 attacks.

Calling hours for Green are being held from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday.

They will both take place at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport.

That’s the site of the state’s memorial to the victims of 9/11.
