Dogs found dead in Fairfield home were under care of rescue group president


There is new details Wednesday about the woman being investigated after five dogs were found dead inside a Fairfield home.

The “Bully Breed Rescue” group says the animals were all under the care of the groups president  Heidi Leuders.

Fairfield police responded to a home on Prince Street last week on the report of animal cruelty.

According to “Bully Breed Rescue,” Leuders was supposed to send four of the dogs to a sanctuary and the fifth was supposed to be in a foster home.
