Former Bridgeport teacher sentenced 5 years for sexually assaulting 2 students

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) - A former Bridgeport special education teacher has been hit with a five year sentence for sexually assaulting two students.

32-year-old Laura Ramos was also given 10 years probation.

She pleaded no contest to 2nd degree assault and violating a protective order. 

Prosecutors say she had sex with the two students between December 2016 and April 2017. 

Ramos taught at Central High School in Bridgeport before resigning earlier this year.
