Greenwich police rescue Stamford man after boat overturns

Police in Greenwich rescued a man from Stamford after a boat overturned on Monday.

According to officials, around 11:35 a.m., a person reported that a boat overturned by Lucas Point in Long Island Sound.

At the scene, police found a 46-year-old man who was holding onto the hull of the boat.

He was then taken ashore and examined by medical personnel for exposure to the cold.

Authorities said the boat overturned while the man was placing a mooring.
