The Norwalk fire department responded to a two-story house fire on Curtone Road late Wednesday evening.

Officials say the fire originated on the second floor. Three people were home at the time of the fire and were able to evacuate before officials arrived on the scene.

Crews arrived around 11:20 p.m. and knocked down the fire within 10 minutes.

The residents have been displaced, as the home was posted unfit for occupancy. They will be staying with other family members.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
