According to police, on April 12th around 10:30 a.m., units responded to reports of a man in his underwear walking on Post Road East.
Units responded and located the man on Myrtle Avenue.
When the man was approached, he allegedly struck the officer in the face.
Additional officials attempted to subdue the man, with one officer being bitten during the incident.
The suspect, later identified as 18-year-old Christopher Groguhe, was taken into custody and transported to a hospital.
He has been charged with assault, breach of peace and other related charges.
Groguhe is being held at police headquarters on a $150,000 bond and will appear in court on May 8th.
Two officers were also treated for their injuries.
