PD: Norwalk man arrested for operating drug factory

A Norwalk man is facing charges after officials say he was operating a drug factory.

According to police, during an investigation in April, officials conducted multiple controlled purchases of fentanyl-laced heroin as well as cocaine from 35-year-old Joseph Daniels.

On Tuesday, investigators observed Daniels return to his residence where he was arrested on the strength of five warrants.

During a search of his apartment, police say they seized 110 bags of heroin, 40 grams of cocaine and drug packing materials, along with other drugs. Officials also found the keys to two locations in a storage facility. At the facility, authorities say they recovered $55,000, 4,500 bags of heroin, and other drug-related items.

Daniels, who is on parole, faces five counts of sale of narcotics, operating a drug factory, and other related charges.
