Report: Multiple staff members at Shelton High School involved in criminal investigation

Fairfield

Several staff members at Shelton High School are being investigated.

The Connecticut Post reports (https://bit.ly/2HSy9Ao) the criminal investigation involves multiple staff members, including headmaster Beth Smith.

The Superintendent confirms that Smith is on paid administrative leave for a “personnel matter,” but says that she was not escorted from the building by police and that no arrests have been made.

Shelton police told the Post they are investigating if school staff are following proper procedures when dealing with potentially criminal situations.
