Senator, Fairfield police to talk dangers of distracted driving

There is an update on the state’s effort to crack down on distracted driving on Monday.

Senator Tony Hwang is joining Fairfield police and traffic safety experts for a news conference.

The police department will discuss the latest numbers on its “U Drive, U Text, U Pay” campaign, while Senator Hwang is expected to announce a community distracted driving forum.

The event is happening at the Fairfield Police Department at 100 Reef Road at 10 a.m.
