Last month, officials said Principal Beth Smith was on leave and that multiple staff members at Shelton High were being investigated.
Mayor Mark Lauretti told News 8 that this was connected to an “incident” between two students on March 26th.
It is not known if Skerritt’s placement on paid administrative leave was connected to this “incident.”
Principal of Shelton Intermediate School Ken Saranich and Assistant Superintendent Lorraine Rossner will help cover administrative duties at the high school.
