Suspect arrested after headless chickens left in Westport yard

WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- In both March and April of 2019, a Westport home was targeted with a drop-off of four packages of headless chickens.

On April 13, 2019, another package containing headless chickens was left at the home on Franklin Street. Police were notified and this time, the suspect fled on foot and was located by police at the Saugatuck train station

Westport Police arrested 48-year-old Ajamu Obataiye of New York, New York on May 18, 2019 and charged him with 4-counts of breach of peace and 4-counts of littering or dumping. 

Obataiye was unable to post a $75,000 court set bond and was transported to Norwalk Court the following morning for arraignment.
