A man wanted in connection with deadly shooting in Bridgeport has been captured in Ohio.
According to Bridgeport police, 25-year-old Emily Todd, of Bethel, was found dead of a gunshot wound on Seaview Avenue next to the Newfield Avenue boat launch ramp. Police Captain Brian Fitzgerald said that Todd was at the Bridgeport Harbor to meet with a man, and there may have been a struggle before her death.

Police quickly developed a suspect, 26-year-old Brandon Roberts. Through their investigation, officers learned that Roberts had fled the state after the shooting, and was staying with his father in the town of Shaker Heights, Ohio.
On Wednesday, Bridgeport police obtained an arrest warrant for Roberts, charging him with multiple charges including murder, robbery, and weapons offenses. Bridgeport officers traveled to Ohio to plan the arrest of Roberts with Shaker Heights police.
Roberts was taken into custody without incident on Thursday. He was charged as a fugitive from justice in Ohio. He is expected to be extradited back to Connecticut soon.
