Former DESPP Commissioner Reuben Bradford passes away


Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police are mourning the loss of Former Commissioner of the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection Reuben Bradford.

The agency says he passed away yesterday.

Bradford served 22 years with the State Police before being nominated by Former Governor Dan Malloy to be the Commissioner in 2010.

He was the first African-American to serve as the commissioner.
