Free school supply event in Middletown

MIDDLETOWN Conn. (WTNH) — A school supply drive that is giving more than 100 students school supplies for school this year.

News 8 stopped by the ‘Get Fresh Barber Shop’ on Saybrook Road in Middletown this morning to talk to event coordinator and owner of the barber shop Joey Fresh.

The event is taking place in Middletown Sunday August 28th at Mcdonough School starting at 2:30p.m.

News 8 also talked to another event coordinator, Memphis Black the president of Top Notch Truck and Car Club.

The event will have free food, face painting, henna tattoos available at the event.
